White View Paradise Inn (budget hotel) in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan

Another budget accommodation in Puerto Princesa City (Palawan) that I want to recommend is the White View Paradise Inn.

Located along Manalo Extension Street, a kilometer or so distance from both the airport and the city centre (NCCC Mall). Excellent location right at the heart of the city, restaurants such as Balinsasayaw and Bona’s Chaolong (Vietnamese noodles) are both within walking distance from WVPI. Although a little inside an interior street, the main Manalo Ext. street is about a minute walk.

I take it that the name was derived from the color of the building that looks something like a “white house”, not in reference to the one in Washington DC, but, we, Filipinos always use the term to describe a big white building, for some reason, am not sure of. But hey, it sure is Puerto Princesa City’s very own white house.

The white house, err I mean, White View is a 3-storey building but the rooms occupy both the ground floor and the second floor. The hotel ground has a small garden and a parking area.

WVPI have rooms that can accommodate 1 to 4 persons, the biggest room can even fit another, totaling to 5 with an extra mattress at a surcharge. Guests have a choice of king-size, double or twin beds. Clean rooms and bathroom, towels provided, TV inside the room, cabinets, table and chairs. Most rooms have a small balcony overlooking the back or front garden.
