I’ve stayed at UKL
Ever Hotel for the entire time I was in Laoag – 4 days.
Good location at the market
end side of the city, very central, within walking distance to all the sights
in the city. The big warehouse-type supermarket
Pure Gold is 2 minutes walk from the hotel where you could buy your grocery stuff
as well as fastfood joints such as Jollibee and Chowking in front of it,
whereas, the 24-hour Mc Donald’s is anout 7 minutes walk. There are a lot of stores
nd shops selling everything you could ever need.
They offer a lot of
rooms in their 5-storey building, some have balcony, facing the main street,
but if you don’t like the noise, get a room at the back side like mine. The room has a small window above the bed
headboard with blinds, no view though.
Clean room is painted in lavender color, air conditioned with telephone,
hot and cold showers separated by a curtain and really neat. There’s cable channels on an LCD TV, Wi-Fi works
excellent inside the room. I don’t like
the way they positioned the cabinet overhead as I bumpred my head three
times! Below it is a small desk and
chair.
There’s a 24 hour
security at the lobby, and there’s a disco bar at ground level beside the
entrance to the reception. Staff are ok,
not very friendly, not impolite either.
The cleaning girl is very courteous but the breakfast lady isn’t much.
Breakfast is served
one floor above the reception, a big flat panel TV hanging on the wall, a bit
drab, no windows, it looks like a storage room turned into a breakfast
salon.
Nothing much to
complain about, it’s a good hotel for both leisure and business tourists. Clean simple rooms, strong internet wifi
connection in room, at 600 pesos per night for single room with breakfast, it’s
not bad at all.
I’d recommend it for
tourists looking for clean rooms with clean bedsheets and pillows, comfortable double
bed, and on a budget.
