From Mardin / Midyat to Hasankeyf

I came from Midyat to Hasankeyf and there are dolmush (shared public transport van) coming from bort Mardin and Midyat.  Fare from Midyat to Hasankeyf is TL8.

From Istanbul to Hasankeyf

By air - the nearest airport to Hasankeyf is Batman airport , and Turkish Airlines is flying from Istanbul’s Ataturk airport while Pegasus Airlines (flypgs.com) is flying out of Sabiha Gokcen airport.  But the cheapest airfare that you may possibly get is through Onur Air but landing at Diyarbakir.  From Diyarbakir, you can take the dolmush (public transport van) to Hasankeyf.  You may end up taking 2 dolmush, from Diyarbakir to Batman, then Batman to Hasankeyf.

Transport from Hasankeyf to Batman or Diyarbakir

Right at the town center of Hasankeyf, at the foot of the bridge infront of Hasankeyf Motel, the dolmush going to Batman is waiting.  Nearest airport is Batman but airfare was so expensive.  Diyarbakir is another option and always cheaper, sometimes half the price versus Batman.  From Hasankeyf, take the dolmush to Batman at TL3, then ask the driver to drop you at the Otogar (he might have predicted that I’m off to otogar so he dropped me there).  From Batman bus station I took another dolmush (shared van) to Diyarbakir.  Since I’m almost late for my flight, I took a taxi from the taxi rank right before the entrance of the bus station in Diyarbakir, taxi fare TL10, depends on your bargaining skills.  The airport is about 10 minutes from the otogar (bus terminal) by taxi.
