Located right across the gate of The Mansion is an elongated rectangular pool with varieties of flowers in array of colors lining both sides from end to end, Wright Park is a favorite among families and children who enjoy riding horses and ponies.
After a very
brief peek at The Mansion, we crossed the road to Wright Park, walked along one
side of the long pool with its dark-yellow colored waters, past the concrete
gazebo onto a wide long flight of stairs going down to the stable of horses and
ponies. Two huge white dogs tied around
a tree attracted our attention as they look very conspicuous with its odd features
that seemed to be a cross breed between a dog and a lion, white and very fuzzy,
they Chow Chows.
Down below are
perhaps hundreds of horses and ponies for rent, which made Wright Park popular
among kids. The place is crowded during
that Easter Sunday we were there.
Wright Park
was constructed in honor of of Governor-General Luke E. Wright who served as
the Governor-General of the Philippines in 1904 to 1906.
