TIP:  The trick is - you can always squeeze 4 major sights to see in Baguio in one full day DIY tour.
The jeepney that goes to Mines View Park passes along the Botanical Garden, The Mansion and Wright Park in front of it, and terminates at Mines View Park.
If you have limited time in Baguio, leave early in the morning, and visit all four.
Take the jeepney at Mabini Street beside Mc Donald’s Session Road, get off at the end of the jeepney route – which is Mines View.  When you’re done, jump on the same jeepney in front of the park’s signage and get off at The Mansion, tell the driver to drop you there, Wright Park is just in front.
After Wright Park go to the Botanical Garden which is just a couple of minutes walk down the road.
WHY I started with Mines View and not the other way around?
You’ll be walking from The Mansion to Wright Park to Botanical Garden, and the road is sloping down, a very easy leisure walk.  If I started with Botanical, then it’s a slope upward, a bit taxing.  You can of course opt for that if you intend to be at the Mines View Park in the afternoon.
Yesterday, we were at the Mines View Park, unfortunately, it rained hard and we got stranded taking shelter at the shops there so we weren’t able to get to the Mansion and Wright Park.
Mines View Park is the best spot to enjoy the panoramic view of Baguio’s mountains amidst thick knots of fogs.

There was no view when we got there because the huge fogs covered the whole mountain range and it was so cold, and then --- it rained which was a blessing.  We waited for it to subside, that’s when the fog receded and presented a gorgeous view of the mountains covered in spots with the silky bouquet of white fogs.  I was there a month ago and it was a clear day, but I like it better this second visit – with the fog.

Aside from the nice view at the panorama deck, there are some horses and ponies down right before the view deck, at P10 you can jump on the horse back and take picture, popular with kids.  Or rent an Igorot costume and have your picture taken complete with flowered head gear also at P10.

Souvenir shops lined the far-side-end of the park, too many of them but the ones offering good prices are those along the main road.  I bought some refrigerator magnets near the viewdeck that costs 3 pieces for a hundred pesos, the shops along the main road sells it for P100 for 4, and much to my surprise, the ones at the Botanical Garden are offering it for P50 for 4 pieces!
Your visit to Baguio won’t be complete if you have not seen the Mines View Park, but make sure to go there either during a sunny day or after a rain.
